Reform UK targets Harrogate Town Council Elections.
November 2024
A recent Reform UK Harrogate and Knaresborough branch meeting held on 22nd October 2024 was the launch event for our Harrogate Town Council election campaign. Reform UK plans to stand candidates in all the wards being contested in early May 2025. Jonathan Swales, Reform UK, Branch Chairman, the event organiser said-
“We were thrilled with the turnout and the level of engagement from the members, particularly their suggestions for a survey on local issues, to inform our campaign.”
Reform UK Harrogate Launches Survey to Shape Local Elections Campaign

We are carrying out a members and local residents survey to inform our Town Council election campaign. The survey, which only takes a couple of minutes to complete is available here, until the end of November 2024, please feel free to complete the survey, it only takes 2 minutes to do and no personal data is collected. It covers a range of topics crucial to the Harrogate community, including local infrastructure, transport services, the town centre and environmental issues. Reform UK Harrogate encourages residents to share their views and experiences to ensure that the party’s campaign resonates with the needs of the electorate. Jonathan Swales the local branch chairman said-
“We believe that the best way to represent our community is to listen to what matters most to our residents,”
Harrogate and Knaresborough lead the way for Reform UK

We have been selected amongst the first batch of constituencies to form a pilot branch for members of our constituency. This change is in response to the surging popularity of the party and the new structure will allow Reform UK to grow our local presence in a more robust manner, as well as enhancing the democracy of the party as members will have an annual vote on a number of policies and the branch leadership.

Masquerade Ball
September 2024
The first Reform UK Masquerade Ball held at Queen’s Hotel, Leeds earlier this month was a great success. A stylish group of members from the Harrogate branch attended and threw themselves into the theme. They got to meet Lee Anderson and Zia Yusuf who both attended and made positive and encouraging speeches about the party. It was well attended, possibly, even over-subscribed.
A very popular event indeed. Keep your eyes peeled for another big event coming up later in the year in the North-West!
Quiz Night
20th November 2024
Our Harrogate and Knaresborough branch are holding a quiz night on 20th November 2024. It’s a light hearted break from all the politics and a chance for all members, supporters, volunteers and colleagues to catch up in an informal event in a town centre location.
The entry fee for the quiz is £5/person with teams of up to four and a prize for the winning team. Drinks and food are available as extras. If you’d like to attend please register your interest HERE.
